Cara

Cara is a constellation of four service offerings – anchored in the same standards of operation – that help individuals up and down the poverty spectrum sustainably re-enter the workforce.

Critical steps include recruitment to bring candidates in; training & coaching to unlock talents and build skills; practical experience through transitional jobs; curation of “best-fit” matches with employers; and retention support.

Clients receive a soft skills ‘boot camp’ that is focused around core skills such as communication and professionalism, as well as a hard skills training credentialed by and co-taught with an employer partner. The majority of clients are placed in transitional positions at Cara’s in-house businesses, Cleanslate and Cara Connects. Hiring occurs through job matching and on-site hiring events. Programs last as long as it takes for a client to get hired, which is 4 months on average.
