Safer Foundation

Safer Foundation is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit providers of services designed exclusively for people with criminal records. They focus on helping clients secure and maintain jobs because employment offers the best chance at successful re-entry.

Safer’s workforce programs offers soft skills training, hard skills training, transitional work experience and job placement across several industries. Its largest capacity is for soft skills training, which aims to simulate a day-to-day workplace experience while teaching core skills such as computer literacy and conflict resolution. After completion of soft skills training, clients are eligible for transitional work experience through Safer’s in-house temporary staffing agency, Pivot Staffing. They can also receive hard skills training at partner organizations for industry-specific credentials. Hiring occurs through job-matching and employer visits to ‘job groups’
