Heartland Alliance (Heartland) is one of the world’s leading anti-poverty organizations, serving those who are homeless, living in poverty, or seeking safety. It provides a comprehensive array of services in the areas of health, housing, justice, and jobs.In the area of jobs, Heartland offers several programs targeted at different populations and industries. Programs include employment preparation and placement, industry-specific training, and paid work experience. All programs offer soft skills training and some offer hard skills and on-the-job experience.  Heartland is able to subsidize some transitional work experience wages.  Because Heartland’s mission is to lift people out of poverty, clients can often access wrap-around services, from asset-building to childcare assistance.
