Chicago Urban League
The Chicago Urban League’s (CUL) workforce development center focuses on helping youth, young adults and adults obtain the skills necessary to compete and succeed in the global labor market through career exploration and counseling, work-skills enhancement, seminars and workshops, coaching and long-term retention support. All clients receive soft skills training. Additionally, they can choose from multiple hard skills training programs. Hiring occurs through job training, placement services, and job fairs with employer partners. Programs last from two weeks to six months, depending on the client.

- Must hire direct and not through a staffing agency
- Prefer employers that pays a livable wage
- Must have on-the-job training
- Commitment to seriously consider candidates
